About

This presentation will provide an overview of the Rolls-Royce Small Modular Reactor (SMR) - the UK’s first domestic nuclear technology in more than 20 years, which is providing a British solution to a global energy crisis. Last year it was named as the selected technology from the Great British Energy - Nuclear SMR competition, with the first 3 plants set to be built at Wylfa on the coast of Ynys Môn (Anglesey).
This presentation will provide an overview of the company and its SMR design and technology - including its differentiating delivery model which maximises modularisation and factory-build principles.
The presentation will add a particular focus on the role that digital simulation and analysis is playing in developing the design, and the delivery model.
