In the construction industry, effective communication are crucial for project success. BIM is a transformation approach that enhances these elements by utilizing digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of a project. 

In this seminar, it will explore the fundamentals of BIM, its benefits, and the role of a BIM Manager. You’ll gain insights into how BIM can streamliner workflows, improve decision-making. And more efficient and cost-effective projects.

Whether you are an architect, engineer, contractor, or project manager, understanding BIM is becoming increasingly essential in the built environments, From this seminar you will know how BIM can revolutionize the way that you in the built environment.

In the meantime, the speaker will take about 30 minutes to introduce the execution of a Digital Twins Project.

Speakers

David Fung

Past Chairman - Autodesk’s Industry Advisory Board

David Fung has over 26 years of architectural experience in Australia and Hong Kong since graduating from University 1993. After obtaining his HKIA and RAIA, and whilst working in Sydney Australia as an architect, David also completed his Master degree in Project Management.   

With Particular interest in the application of I.T. technology in architectural practice, he has been at the frontier of the latest technological applications.  He has been using Building Information Modelling technology for 23 years and applied this state-of-the-art technology into the building design, documentation and co-ordination, construction and Facility Management, establishing the most efficient way of working practices. David is the past Chairman of Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling (HKIBIM, formed 2008) promoting BIM in Hong Kong. He was a member of Hong Kong government’s CAD Standard for Works Projects (CSWP) Working Committee, HKIA’s I.T. Committee, HKIA's Board of Practices, and the past Chairman of the Autodesk’s Industry Advisory Board. He was the Head of BIM department in Aedas for 6 years.
