This presentation outlines evidence-based strategies to prevent cognitive decline and promote brain health in aging populatons. In Hong Kong, the number of people aged 60+with dementia is projected to increae by 222% from 2009 to 2039 (103K to 332K). This presenaton looked into the present cognitive training model which emphasizes novelty and foreseeable difficulty.
Speaker 1: Principal SC Chow is a well known Educator in Hong Kong, serving as Secondary School Science teachers and Principal for more than 40 years in which many of his students are now outstanding engineers and medical practitioners . After retirement, he devoted most of his time to do study and research on varius approaches to present cognitive impairment among the elderly. He has conducted pilot programmes and delivered regular lectures at Yan Oi Tong Elderly Centre and the Hong Kong Senior Education Workers Assocaiton. He is also a regular speakers at IET Forums and judge of YPEC
