About

From unlikely beginnings, Mike served as an RAF Officer and Diplomat in Berlin, Moscow and Madras, experiencing some amazing experiences along the way. His 5 years spent in Moscow were particularly unusual and interesting.

He’s had a gun stuck in his face, been seconds from a mid-air collision, been struck by lightning in an aircraft, been locked-onto by a SAM, made two emergency landings, accidentally driven through a Russian missile battery, worked on a movie with three Oscar-winners and he might have inadvertently eaten someone. All this and more will be covered in his talk.

This event will take place in the Sir Isaac Newton Building.
