Substation Automation

About

As we move into the digital revolution, the need to make informed decisions based on reliable and trustworthy data becomes greater each day.

This can be applied to lots of everyday scenarios. This session applies the same to electrical switchgear for which telemetry is utilised for monitoring, control and automation within the industrial environment.

Monitoring for safety and maintenance requirements to inform actions to ensure the required availability and reliability of the network that is expected to power critical infrastructure.

Control of switchgear for the management of complex networks and providing operator safety in addition with the compliance against IEC 61850 protocol.

Automation of switchgear through input driven scenarios to provide an 'active' management layer within an electrical network.
