Tech Insights @ E&M InnoZone

As the Innovation Facilitator for the Hong Kong Government, EMSD has implemented a series of initiatives to drive Innovation and Technology (I&T) development, including setting up an E&M InnoZone at the EMSD HQs. EMSD will offer InnoTours of the InnoZone for groups from interested schools and organisations. Free tour can be booked on this site.

The E&M InnoZone showcases many interactive I&T projects that are the outcome of EMSD’s I&T collaboration with academic institutions and research institutions in Hong Kong. The exhibits cover the application of Internet of Things (IoT), automation, artificial intelligence and energy efficiency technologies. Its aim is to pool together local I&T efforts, accelerate the implementation and testing of innovative E&M solutions from universities and start-ups.

EMSD I&T partners in the academic field are the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the City University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

The research institutions that are EMSD I&T partners are the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, the Hong Kong Productivity Council, the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute Company Limited, the Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre, the Automotive Parts and Accessory Systems R&D Centre, and the Nano and Advanced Materials Institute Limited.
