The technical visit to the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal offers a unique opportunity to gain insights into the operations and maintenance of this cutting-edge facility. Hosted by the Managing Director of World Cruise Terminal, this visit aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and intricacies involved in managing a world-class cruise terminal.
Built on the runway of the former Kai Tak Airport, the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal is an iconic structure centrally located in Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbor. The terminal has year-round operations and an array of amenities not seen elsewhere in the industry. Its restaurants are open 365 days, and include a 960-seat Chinese banqueting restaurant, Hong Kong-style cafe, as well as a kids’ cafe.
During the tour, participants will have the privilege of exploring different area of the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, including its operational procedures, maintenance protocols, and sustainability initiatives. The Managing Director will offer valuable perspectives on the operational challenges faced in running a top-tier cruise terminal and highlight the terminal's commitment to providing green credential services to cruise ships berthed at the facility.
