Technical Visit to CAD Headquarter the Government of HKSAR

About
The Civil Aviation Department (CAD) is responsible for providing air traffic control services and regulating civil aviation activities in Hong Kong. As Hong Kong International Airport advances its Three Runway System, reliable and sophisticated air traffic engineering and management capabilities are central to maintaining safe, efficient and resilient airport operations.
This technical visit offers IET members and engineering professionals a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the systems, facilities and people supporting Hong Kong’s aviation infrastructure. Representatives from CAD will introduce the department and its Air Traffic Engineering Services Division, followed by a sharing session on the Three Runway System and relevant aviation technologies.
Participants will then join a guided technical tour of the West Air Traffic Control Centre. Subject to CAD’s final operational arrangements, the visit will include demonstrations of the Air Traffic Management System, North Tower facilities, the Control Tower Simulator and Digital Tower Facilities.
