Technical Visit to Hong Kong Disneyland
Organized by Student Section, YMS , IET Hong Kong
About
Join us for an exclusive technical visit to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL), a world-class theme park destination renowned for its unique, state-of-the-art attractions such as Grizzly Gulch and Mystic Point.
Behind every levitating chariot in Mystic Manor and every runaway mine car in Big Grizzly Mountain lies a symphony of programmable logic controllers, redundant safety circuits, hydraulic propulsion, and real-time show-control systems, all engineered to Disney’s legendary “make the impossible possible” standard.
This event offers a rare opportunity to explore the back-of-house operations, including a guided walkthrough of the ride equipment and an in-depth introduction to the cutting-edge technologies that ensure seamless and magical guest experiences.
The visit will be divided into two rotating sessions, allowing participants to gain comprehensive insights into the technical merits and operational excellence behind HKDL’s most complex ride systems.
This technical visit, organized by the Students Section of the Institution of Engineering and Technology Hong Kong (IETSS), aims to inspire engineering students by showcasing the intersection of technology, creativity, and entertainment engineering. Don’t miss this unique chance to discover the engineering magic behind one of Hong Kong’s most beloved destinations!
