Technical visit to Keystone Electric Wire & Cable Co. Ltd
Organized by Younger Members Section Committee, IET Hong Kong
About
What cutting-edge insulation materials drive the performance of today’s most advanced cables? How is raw copper transformed into precision-engineered wiring systems? What design principles distinguish power, control, and specialty cables—and how do manufacturers ensure consistent reliability under the most demanding conditions?
Established in 1969 in Hong Kong (formerly known as Keystone Industrial Company Limited), Keystone is a well-established manufacturer in the electrical and telecommunication cable industry. The company specializes in the production of copper wires, building wires, low and medium voltage power cables, control cables, and telecommunication cables. With decades of experience and a strong commitment to quality and innovation, Keystone supplies high-performance cable solutions to a diverse range of sectors and infrastructure projects.
During the factory tour, participants will be offered a guided walkthrough of the manufacturing facilities, showcasing the various production stages, machinery, and equipment involved, as well as the quality control measures implemented throughout the process.
