Technical Visit to Ngong Ping 360 Cable Cars
Organized by RTS Section, IET Hong Kong
About
The IET Hong Kong RTS Committee is pleased to offer a 2.5-hour technical visit to Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car (aka NP360) systems for our IET members and guests on Friday afternoon. This visit provides an exceptional opportunity to explore the engineering marvel of Hong Kong’s 5.7-kilometre bicable gondola lift system, which connects Tung Chung to the scenic Ngong Ping Village on Lantau Island. Participants will enjoy panoramic views of Lantau Island while gaining insights into the intricate design and operation of this iconic transportation system in Hong Kong.
Led by Ir Mr. Kei Kong FANG, Cable Car Maintenance Manager of NP360 Cable Car Operations Department, the visit includes an exclusive tour of the E&M facilities, granting access to restricted engineering zones. Attendees will observe maintenance practices and safety systems firsthand.
