Technical Visit to T·PARK
Organized by Younger Members Section Committee, IET Hong Kong
About
How can a modern city transform its waste into a 100% self-sustaining ecosystem? What does it take to power a large-scale facility, generate clean drinking water, and even heat an on-site spa resort using nothing but sewage sludge? Join us for an exclusive look at T·PARK to find out! As one of the world's most advanced sludge incinerators, T·PARK masterfully bridges environmental engineering and urban sustainability.
During the guided tour, you will explore the core technologies driving this waste-to-energy marvel. The experience begins with the innovative fluidised bed incineration process, where sewage sludge is thermally treated at extreme temperatures to simultaneously eliminate waste and generate enough steam to power the entire site. To complement this power generation, you will also see advanced flue gas filtration systems designed to keep emissions well below stringent global safety limits. Finally, you will discover the facility's impressive zero liquid discharge capabilities, learning how an integrated seawater desalination system supplies all necessary potable water for daily operations without producing a single drop of wastewater runoff.
Bridging the gap between academic theory and real-world execution, this technical visit is a prime opportunity to log highly relevant CPD hours, network with industry peers, and see the practical applications of carbon-neutral infrastructure in action.
Space for this technical visit is strictly limited. Register today to secure your spot and experience the forefront of sustainable energy!
