The 22nd Annual Power Symposium 2024
Power system operations in the era of power electronics and grid edge technologies
About
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is working to engineer a better world and inspire, inform and influence the global engineering community, supporting technology innovation to meet the needs of society.
As cities worldwide strive to reduce carbon emissions and become more ambitious in the integration of renewable energy and distributed energy resources (DERs), the role of power electronics and grid edge technologies becomes increasingly vital. Power electronics and grid edge technologies encompass a range of innovative solutions, which can facilitate secure and cost-effective renewable energy integration, and enable smart and efficient power distribution at the edge of power grid.
The 22nd Annual Power Symposium 2024 aims to explore the latest developments, opportunities, and challenges in power system operations empowered by power electronics and grid edge technologies. The symposium will provide a platform for professionals, practitioners, academics and researchers to share their experiences, present cutting-edge research, and discuss practical solutions for building sustainable, resilient, efficient and smart power systems in urban areas.
