The age of digitisation on the low voltage network
AI – CONNECTIVITY – MACHINE LEARNING
About
The energy demand and dependency on the Low Voltage Network has never been more important. The arguably dormant LV network distributes electricity supplies to business and domestic customers, is now more complex than ever, and will contribute significantly Net Zero targets.
The need to monitor the Low Voltage network in its entirety, for optimum performance, is now a necessity for Distribution Networks Operators (DSO), and is key to unlocking its potential.
By investing heavily into secondary Substation low voltage monitors, combined with smart meter data, linking to Geographical Information Systems and circuit connectivity models, SPEN is actively managing the LV network dynamically to improve reliability and maximise utilisation.
SPEN’s digital Solutions Platform (Netview) enables network connectivity correction based on overall customers voltage parameters, energy requirements, and enabling the recognition of Low voltage circuit status and performance opening the opportunity of data gathering providing broader visibility of the Low Voltage network to broaden infrastructure initiatives.
Netview provides network topologies, customer and assets data within a single platform.
• LV network topology (impedance map)
• Smart metering data, status and voltage alerts
• Customer incident detail and historic data,
• Secondary substation monitoring data and alerts.
The Presentation demonstrates the attributes that created the Methods utilised as Business-as-Usual manual tasks now preceding with Artificial intelligence & Machine learning models functional in SP Energy Networks
We look forward to meeting you at this thought-provoking event.
