The Road to Self Driving Vehicles

Are we nearly there?

About

In terms of connected and autonomous vehicles, technology is moving at pace, and permissive UK regulations are opening up the opportunity to showcase the UK on the global stage of innovation.  In this lecture, Kirit and Paul will share their insights from working on real-world deployment projects and show how a system of systems approach is ensuring these new services are safe and secure, and how the industry is working to build trust in these new technologies. Fusing connectivity, data, the Internet of Things, sensors, signals, software and AI, the convergence of many different technologies is enabling new self-driving shuttle services to operate on our public roads across the UK taking Co-operative, Intelligent Transport Systems from being a pipedream to reality.
