Tour of My World: The Sheds Facilities

Hosted by IET Bristol

About

The Sheds offers a unique collection of world class creative research, development and production facilities. Together they form an unparalleled test bed for large scale, live immersive experiences.
Building on the existing creative strength in the West of England region, MyWorld is exploring the future of creative technology innovation by pioneering new ideas, products and processes. Creating the opportunity for businesses to access pre-market research, world class facilities, funding, tools and training.
Bringing together 13 diverse, world-leading partners across academia and industry, MyWorld is using investment into creative technology innovation to stimulate growth and societal change in the industry and in the region.
MyWorld is a creative technology programme in the UK’s West of England region, funded by £30 million from UK Research and Innovation’s (UKRI) Strength in Places Fund (SIPF).
MyWorld is not the start of the West of England’s creative technology story. It builds on decades of innovation that have made Bristol, Bath and the surrounding region a global leader in the field.
The region’s unique concentration of research centres, studios, labs and production facilities creates an ecosystem where new ideas can quickly become real-world breakthroughs. Combined with a culture that values creativity, collaboration and bold thinking, this connected network provides the foundation that makes MyWorld possible.
