Autonomy start-ups and professional registration myths & legends
About
Amelia Gould leads the Maritime Domain for Helsing UK, a defence software and AI company. “There is no typical working day in a start-up! The days are a blend of external meetings with customers and partners and internal meetings with the product and engineering teams". Amelia began her career as an Engineering Officer in the Royal Navy, she served for 11 years before becoming an Enterprise Architect for digital transformation. She then moved to BAE Systems where she was a Technical Authority, Chief of Staff to the CEO, finally leading the Maritime Combat Systems business. Amelia is a WISE Woman in Industry Award winner (2017), a Chartered Engineer and a non-Executive Director on the Maritime UK Solent Board.
