Webinar - HVDC Quo Vadis?

HVDC made a significant change – from a several niche projects to become the significant element of European future electricity transmission system. With massive offshore wind build-out, cross-border interconnections, hybrid assets, and emerging meshed HVDC grids, Europe is entering a new phase of system development.

This webinar, “HVDC – Quo Vadis?”, as an introduction to the ACDC Europe Conference in Berlin 28 - 29 April 2026, will try to point out several aspects where the HVDC technology is standing and where it is heading. It provides a strategic and technical outlook on HVDC’s role today and in the future in Europe from different perspectives: TSO, manufacturer, academia and industry research. It shall also set up the stage for discussion during the conference.
