EVOLUTION OR REVOLUTION? The development of English architecture seen through structures in the care of English Heritage
About
English Heritage looks after some 400 properties that span a period of 5000 years. While each property has its own, unique story to tell, collectively they combine to tell the story of the development of English Architecture from prehistoric times through to the end of the 20th century. This lecture will summarise that development through 25 properties that illustrate key points in that story and show how English architecture has evolved over time, responding to changes in society, fashion and construction techniques.
