Technical Visit to Sun Ying MiMEP Manufacturing Factory in Dongguan

About
Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) is reshaping the delivery of building-services works by transferring more construction activity from site to controlled factory environments. Through integrated design, prefabrication, automation and rigorous quality control, MiMEP solutions can support more consistent manufacturing quality, improved site safety and more efficient installation.
This technical visit offers IET members and engineering professionals a valuable opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the MiMEP manufacturing operations of Sun Ying Prefab Products Limited in Dongguan. Participants will be introduced to the company’s approach to DfMA and will visit its manufacturing facilities to examine key technical processes behind prefabricated building-services components.
The guided factory tour will focus on the prefabrication production line, automated manufacturing systems and quality-assurance protocols. Participants will also learn how the DfMA workflow supports modular component design, manufacturing precision and assembly optimisation, and how these processes can contribute to more effective project delivery.
A round-trip coach transfer from Futian Port to the factory in Dongguan will be arranged. Lunch will be provided by the visiting company. Both are free of charge for registered participants.

Programme
• Participants are responsible for arranging their own cross-boundary travel documents and completing relevant border-crossing procedures.
• Participants may purchase their own travel insurance if they consider it necessary.
• The detailed itinerary, including coach assembly and return arrangements, will be provided to successful registrants.
