Visit to Piccadilly Signalling Control Centre

Organised by Manchester Retired Members Group

About

Following a visit made in March, this is a second opportunity to see inside the Signalling Centre.  It opened in 1988 and has since undergone many changes.  It now controls trains for: Heald Green / Manchester Airport, Longsight, Piccadilly Station, Oxford Road and Winsor Bridge.  Operations will eventually be transfered to the Manchester Rail Operating Centre.
