Technical Visit to HK Electric – Lamma Power Station

With the commissioning of its first 250 MW coal-fired unit in 1982, the Lamma Power Station has served Hong Kong for over 40 years. Currently, the station has a total installed capacity of 3,082 MW, comprising three coal-fired units, four gas-fired combined cycle units, five open-cycle gas turbine units, one wind turbine, and one solar power system.

During this talk they shall discuss the technology using water electrolysis used as part of the process and their role in the drive towards net zero in addition to the challenges faced.
