      In early April of 1972 the Argentineans took over the Falkland Islands by stealth and expelled the residual garrison force of Royal marines together with the Governor. In response to pleas for help from the Falklanders, British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher authorised the military operation “Corporate” to take back the British Protectorate. This talk will describe the epic struggle which led up to the surrender of Argentinean forces in Port Stanley on 14 June.
